I was hit by a State Farm policy holder in November 2016 and it took three months for them to finally resolve the claim (February 2017). They told me a few days after the accident that they would be denying coverage because their policy owner had let their coverage lapse, yet for some reason it required three months and several phone calls from myself complaining about their lack of action before they finally deemed it important enough to close the claim. Been with State Farm for years. I never have been so disappointed wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!! I changed insurance company's do to them not putting things on my insurance policy and charging me for it. Going with the new insurance company gave me better coverage and at a lower PRICE. State farm is nothing but a rip off. They don't care at all about there customers. It took more than four months for State Farm to deal with a fender bender. I had video of the incident and had to send it to them in four different formats because they were not able to read the CD I sent, the movie I sent, and the video I uploaded into Dropbox (I was able to see all formats just fine). They called one potential witness once, and when he did not return the call, did not call the potential witness again until I urged them to try. State Farms Insurances is one of the worst insurances companies out in the market. I submitted a claim on January 27, 2017 against one of their policy holders and as of today, March 11, 2017 they have provide me with four different settlements of total loss because they have made "mistakes" on all of the calculations. Every time I try to accept an offer they come up with a different lower settlement offer because they "forgot to include some," and when I try to question their numbers they don't have a clue how they got it. Since 2005, State Farm has insured 2 homes, all of my vehicles, business insurance and life insurance. Joseph Query is the agent. In the fall of 2016, I added 3 more vehicles to the Policy as well as Business liability for the contracting business I recently purchased. I told my agent representative I needed to be insured for at least $10,000 of new equipment. I was told I would be covered via the policies and not to worry. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCEN If you are having or considering STATE FARM Insurance you may want to read this: On July 5, 2016 while riding my bike on bike path along major street I was hit by a car violently, entering the main street from a gas station exit while I was crossing the entrance cautiously. I am not one of those people that try to bilk insurance companies with frivolous claims and I hadn't filed a claim in many years. In the summer of 2016, a semi threw a rock and cracked my windshield. I called my State Farm agent and was told that even though I had comprehensive and collision coverage, the windshield wasn't covered. Comprehensive covers glass breakage so why wasn't I covered? I was with State Farm since 2007 and finally decided to end my relationship due to the increasing rise of my insurance (no tickets or accidents, and over 35). I recently moved and my insurance went up $60. I contact another company and received a much cheaper quote and with a cheaper deductible for collision. I sold my home 2/15/17 and cancelled my policy, it still shows active today. They stated they had a system issue where it kicked out my cancellation and they were working on it. This is delaying my refund for the year policy I paid for at the time of service. Because nobody can give me an answer I cancelled my autos, new renters and personal articles policy with them.
