The nurses were sweet and prompt and Dr. Crain has an awesome bedside manner! We were very pleased with our visit yesterday!
I went for the pain I've had for years. I went to Carefirst and they sent me to the Er to run tests. They did the same exact thing and didn't even tell me the outcome. They had the male nurse who is the only reason I gave a 2 instead of 1 because he was cool, just give me papers and prescription for this low dose pain medication which was not the reason I was there. I have a family member that works there and he is an awesome person and well liked by others. So just by that I would recommend Hardin Memorial Health to anyone.
What a horrific experience. I have never seen a hospital with such a lack of personal contact. Very unprofessional, uninterested and an overall lack of concern here. We have been in the ER waiting room for almost 3 hours. I can't believe people are treated this way in your hospital. People with their feet kicked up on a desk, as if they just don't care. Thank goodness I don't run my business in this manner. The people working tonight need to remember that they are in the PEOPLE business and not just getting a paycheck! WOW!

Long story short had an X-ray on my mouth was told my jaw looks calcified (possibly eagle syndrome)referred to Dr. Smith(ear,nose, throat dr) he had no idea of what it is. (Instead of researching it) gave me a muscle relaxer ( I don't understand why) and sent me home! Probably charged me an arm and leg. Anyways, Hardin Memorial needs to get more experienced doctors!
Wish my mother was allowed back to my dad more quickly than 2 1/2 hours later. Dr DeShaw is awesome and we all felt better when he came in and sat on the floor where my mother was and gathered every bit of information he could. His presence calmed us. Knew someone cared and not just another patient.
The staff an ct techs treated me well an they were quick to answer my questions an concerns.
Horrible absolutely horrible hospital. Never will come back nothing was even solved. Came in profusely throwing up having severe pain after 9+ hours I get admitted then told the next day it's physiological!! Had to request to see a stomach doctor myself since they won't do it for me. Also the doctors and nurses in the er are poorly trained and clearly need a crash course in patient car. Oh and I'm still here feeling the same as I was Friday when I got admitted.
