Great food! Jimmy G's is a great restaurant with great food! My company meets their for after hours meetings and the atmosphere is always pleasing. The manager always welcomes you with a smile and the staff their keeps you satified! For a great meal, try Jimmy G's!
Horrible First Visit Went for lunch today, horrible experience! Found dirty chair when i went to sit down, waitress was there and took credit for the filthiness and asked for me to excuse it. Waitress explained specials, one with blackened redfish with crawfish topping and side of etouffe, sounded good, so ordered that. When it was being set on the table i could smell an excessive fishy smell, like not fresh smell. Also found out that they were out of etouffe and they chose to replace with runny mash potatoes. Crap food at ridiculous prices. The food was dry, overcooked, & did not taste fresh. The crab fingers ($10.50) could have been little chunks of fried Chicken McNuggets. The embrochette ($11.95) tasted "off" & had a funky fishy flavor that made me question how long it had been sitting in a cooler prior to our arrival. The Bloody Mary ($5.75) looked and tasted like a small little sad glass of watered down tomato juice with maybe a splash of cheap vodka in it. A friend and I visited Jimmy Gs for lunch. We received a free order of calamri . It was a huge portion. The portions was big, variety of seafood dishes on the menu. We enjoyed our food. I had stuff shrimp and the shrimp itself was huge .
The crawfish is so hot and always a nice size. The seafood platter is humongous and tasty. The gumbo is dark and seasoned. The chargrilled oysters are perfect and last but definitely not least.... the drinks are stiff
Love this place. Sat at the bar. Ordered seafood gumbo ... delicious. A dozen Jimmy G's grilled oysters ... so good I ordered another dozen. I finished off with Crawfish Etouffee ... it was loaded with tails and awesome!
Great everything! Never had a bad meal here. Gumbo is awesome, oysters are large, and the service never disappoints. If you are in the Greenspoint area around lunch time, this place is a definite must!
The food is always great. I love the gumbo and the fried catfish. It's always hot and fresh.
Absolutely great experience. I received quick attentive service from start to finish. The chef showed me personal attention by giving me samples of their cooked oysters after I'd ordered raw ones and offering to cook the ones I had. The food came promptly. As for the food, it was very good and large portions. If your in the area it's a must try!
