My experience has been terrible. Im a 10+ year customer with statefarm. I'm new to the area and am a state to state transfer. Tony did not quote me properly with my state to state transfer and when I got my next months bill was in a huge surprise to be getting charged more then double of what I was quoted. I never received any notice of the change and had to call my self only to be blamed for not disclosing an accident that occurred in December. When in fact that was disclosed on my state to state transfer on the very first ... read more
For approx 40 years I've made early payments to SF to cover vehicles. Mortgage co pays (on time) home owners. NEVER had to file a home owners claim until recently. Approximately one year ago we ( my husband and I) contacted SF because several homes in the neighborhood (across the street, next door and several others on our street) had to have roofs replaced due to damaging winds.SF sent a rep who looked at roof from the ground and said he saw no damage and that we should get another 3-5 years before it needs replacing. A cou... read more
I purchased a car for my granddaughter and she is insured under my policy with State Farm. She had an accident last November when another driver hit her from the rear. The other driver received a ticket and was also insured by State Farm. I've never had to deal with such frustration on a claim before. If you call them, it's an hour wait and then you get disconnected or transferred. When getting quotes from other agents, I was informed that State Farm had submitted information to a reporting agency that my granddaughter's acc... read more
Business response:
We are unable locate a claim/policy with information provided.
State Farm refused to pay a diminished value claim on my auto when their covered party ran a red light to T-bone my Honda ten days after I bought it new. When I threatened to take them to court, they effectively said, “You can sue us, but we won’t do anything about it until you sue our client too.” Imagine if you knew your insurer said this about you! That’s why I’ll never use them. (By the way, I did sue them and they spent triple in legal fees what I was requesting for my diminished value. What a business model!)
I recently got insurance from Trevor Mcbride/STATE FARM Hillsboro, Or. Previously I had insurance and when I got a quote from the agent I was surprised and excited. The cost was great, and I cancelled my other insurance immediately. I specifically asked the agent if she checked my license information and she said yes, it is all good. Well, not exactly. Today they called and cancelled my insurance because I had my license suspended for 30 days within the last 3 years. Helloooo that's why I asked if you checked my license. I w... read more
Part 1 Tue, May 17 at 10:16 AM To whom it concerns: I'm a current customer with State Farm and although I typically only use the Roadside Assistance portion of my insurance, I wrecked my car in this horrible Arkansas spring weather on May 5th at 7:30am. Since then, I've become slightly uneasy with State Farm. State Farm was the first call I made after getting to a safe position but on my first attempt to call and get help I was immediately transferred to Alero without a claim number, and I had to start the process over when ... read more
How can companies continue to operate with this many bad reviews? Obviously the better business bureau is doing nothing. These Insurance companies are not held accountable by anyone and are in bed with the government. the general public never stands a fair chance and yet are required to have insurance with these criminal companies. There is no way for the average person to go up against insurance companies, this is the biggest fleecing in American.
Terrible! Don't be fooled by the low rates, they blow it all on washed up sports stars. I've had 4 claims in the last 3 years and each time it's unbearable to deal with claims. After waiting on hold 1-2 hours each time you call, you have to start over with a new agent. They know nothing about your case And they are not skilled in customer service to say the least. Two years ago it took 6 months before they finally decided to total my car....which should have been done in the first week. Imagine 6 months without your car. Doe... read more
On 1/07/2022 a State Farm insured plowed through a red light and hit my vehicle with myself and my three children including a 2 month old baby . State Farm deliberately ignored the information on the police report and failed to reach out to me for a statement. They found a old number on a old claim and attempted to contact me. They then said I was responsible for the accident because they’re policy holder said she has a green light too which was impossible. They are stating that I’m am responsible for the accident now ! They... read more
