I can't believe State Farm Insurance is allowed to operate in PA. We had a legitimate claim and reported it honestly and promptly. State Farm refused to accept our description of the accident, refused to inspect the car, came up with their own scenario, based on misinterpretation of evidence and failure to even negotiate. If you have State Farm - good luck. If I had "good neighbors" like them, I'd move. Even filing a formal complaint didn't get them to budge. I have been a State Farm home/auto insurance customer for over 20 years and have paid them over $100,000 in premiums. When my roof had hail damage this year, they excluded a portion of the roof even though enough of the roof indicated damage for full replacement cost. My policy states that 100% of the roof should be replaced if a sufficient portion is damaged which a State Farm adjuster had qualified. Had State Farm for 6 years. I wasn't aware of how terrible they were until I actually needed to file a homeowners claim. Stacey, the receptionist, was always friendly and courteous. However, Chip Wentz did not return phone calls, delayed our claim processing and then, increased our car insurance premium without any notice. When my husband and I tried to call in to reach Chip again, another older woman answered the phone stating Stacey was no longer there. The same thing that happened to Chad A and others happened to me. Sadly I was going to get their insurance before they treated me like they were crooks! And yes their agents are rude too, I got a feeling like most companies that go from being the best to not anymore end up making the same mistakes of not putting people FIRST and treated them bad. Pray you don't get in an accident with any of their insured. They try to cheat you on your estimate, even if it's from a collision center they send you to. And the customer service is the worst! Talk in circles and get mad and disrespectful when you call them out on it.

I had State Farm for home owners insurance. I switched companies about 2 months ago. State Farm called me about the unpaid bill. When I told them I switched companies and they should have received a fax with a cancellation letter two months ago they said they never received it. I had my new company send a new one and they never received it until my bank sent them paper work on the cancellation. Then yesterday I received a bill for a month of the insurance policy. I had a flat tire & needed to be towed an hour away on a Sunday. I called my agent first thing Monday morning. Check in the mail to reimburse me on same day. Great customer service!!

I got hit by a State Farm customer and all they wanted to do was cut every corner possible to fix my vehicle. They will lie constantly. This is a large company that bullies people every day. They spend a ton on marketing to compensate for the bad name their getting.

State Farm claims they reward safe drivers. I haven't had an accident or a ticket for 20 years. State Farm solicited me for a quote on my auto insurance. They came in 20% higher than the premium I am currently paying with Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. POORLY PLAYED, STATE FARM. Lying, cheating rip-off company, thinking their commercials are having any effect on smart buyers like me!
