The staff was wonderful. The care was great. Thank you for caring for our pup when our hometown could not.

This place is unreal!!!! Avoid if at all possible. They will rape you with crazy prices, told me 1900.00 to stitch up my puppy, asked for second opinion at my Vet the next morning. Vet said hope she makes it till then!!!!! Went next morning, with meds and stitches 95.00. And was seen in less than 5 minutes. Was there for over 3 hours. First 2 just seating in sweat box. Then Vet was in room for 3 minutes and then after another hour came back with estimate. Not another car in parking lot. What took so long???? They were gettin... read more

Business response:

I am very sorry that you found your visit with us less than satisfactory. I do believe there was some misunderstanding when it came to the estimate given. The price listed is several hundred less than the amount mentioned. I’d be more than happy to talk more in depth with you about that if you like. Regardless, it is often cheaper to have repairs done when not under a late night emergency service. I am also sorry for the time you had to wait. It is very hard as an emergency hospital to quote wait times since often another em... read more

I have had great experiences with all of the staff except one. We worked to resolve that issue, which I hope included a change of policy regarding advocating vaccines for senior dogs with immune issues. Costs are reasonable.

I have not given it a thought until now and I will say. I knew going in my baby boy needed to be put down. His back was broke & he was suffering. My selfishness took me here( holding out for a chance) They seized upon this to jack a bill up. Playing on people's emotional attachments to their babies is just wrong! $504.00 (for an xray that wasnt needed at all) anyone could've seen the break with a glance & the blood coming out his ass. To put him down & xray seems quite excessive to me. Staff was friendly enough to refer some... read more

Business response:

In times of an emergency, care for your pet can be very costly. To ensure owners are aware of the high costs of emergency care we have an emergency authorization form signed when the pet is urgently taken back. The form that was signed gives us authorization to take stabilizing measures for patients who have experienced severe trauma or are suffering from life threatening illnesses. Stabilizing measures, which is often the first step, may include things such as catheter placement, fluid therapy, heating support, pain medicat... read more

I took my Yorkie to Jefferson Animal Hospital because he threw up and it was pink with flex of blood in it. We saw Dr Cheever and another Dr came in at about 9:00 to do an ultrasound. They did keep him over night and took very good care of him. I was so glad they were there in the late evening and all night to make sure he was omay.

We are from Elizabethtown and took our cat in about 1030pm. They immediately took her back to assess her. The Dr came out and spoke to us and was very kind. She explained the seriousness of our babys illness and showed us xrays. After sharing her diagnosis, we decided that it was in our girls best intetest to put her to sleep. My husband and I were very distraught and were allowed to say our goodbyes privately. We were treated with respect and were very pleased with the service we received. Thank you very much!! Definitely a... read more
