We take our dog here every year. The last couple years ( since covid) is been just drop of and curb pickup. couple weeks ago I received the postcard reminding me of my dogs appointment for Sept 25. I called and make the appointment. The postcard state " we still operating at curbside..blahblah. " I also asked the person on the phone when I make the appointment the approx time...so I could plan my day accordingly. Curbside service was first implemented in March 2020, meaning that the owner would call upon arrival once in the parking lot. A staff member would assess the patient and if stable, the patient and owner(s) would wait in the car. A team member would call the owner when we were ready to “see” the patient and the owner would still wait in the car – on property. All communication between the owner and staff were by telephone. This business took us for our money and did nothing to help our puppy. They told us our puppy needed an emergency surgery or his bowels were going to be necrotic and that he would die from that. They did not try to do any other preventative measures. They opened our 8 week old puppy up and told us nothing was wrong and that they closed him up. Addressing the concerns vocalized in your review: We understand some information given to you in regards to potential complications was alarming but the information given was appropriate. Intussusception, if not corrected in a timely manner, can lead to necrosis of the affected area. Necrosis can then lead to sepsis and potentially death. Had a terrible experience. I took a friends cat in and unfortunately she passed away after seeing Dr. Dorn. My concern is that I paid $780 and never signed a treatment plan and was told they were trying to give me estimates and I refused? If that was the case I wouldn’t have be so surprised by the bill that I got from them. The Vet Tech even lied saying she ear hustled and said that I refused. RecommendedI rushed molly in Sunday night around midnight after a freak accident, she fell off of the couch and landed on her side causing her head to hit the floor. We have no after hours vets here in Elizabethtown or anywhere close. She was in pretty rough shape Sunday evening and I wasn’t sure what her prognosis would be. Great place outstanding service
2 weeks ago my dog suffered a serious eye injury and I thought I was going to lose my dog. The doctors at Jefferson animal hospital not only saved my dog but saved her eye. At this point it looks like she might not regain vision but at least she has both eyes. I could not be happier with the service they provided.
Great experience. Very friendly & helpful.
I've been sitting here 45 minutes with my dog's mouth bleeding pretty badly. I asked about wait time about 20 minutes ago and they said they didnt know. told me we werent the only people here with a pet. slow and rude.
