After the substandard care my dog encountered that killed her I would not recommend Jefferson Animal Hospital to anyone.I brought my dog in at 5:15 AM on 1-17-2020. She became sick on the afternoon of 1-16-2020 a couple hours after we had played our daily game of fetch. She began throwing up white, thick stuff that actually looked like marshmallow cream. She began drinking copious amounts of water about 2 hours after the vomiting started. But within 30-45 minutes she threw up n...Continue Reading

I brought my small dog in a few weeks ago for what seemed to be a hurt leg. It was around 9 pm and there were 3 times the staff there than patients and they were not the friendliest. I was there for over 3 hours just for someone to take a look at her. My dog was taken for what I was told were vital signs and no one came back with my dog or an update for about an hour. I could hear many women in the back talking about personal matters and I had to go find someone to ask where my dog had gone and when someone was going to come... read more

On Sunday our puppy, who just had been spayed on Thursday, was unfortunately bit on the face by another dog. We arrived, after calling ahead, about a wound under her chin that was open and consistently bleeding. We showed up and I cannot state how horrible our experience was. Not just for us, but for our dog that was scared as well. We have had an instance where something happened with our other dog and at St Matt’s they put us in our own room and they were excellent. Unf...Continue Reading

Business response:

Mrs. Carlson, It is unfortunate that we were not able to meet your expectations. I was on shift the night you came in with your pup. I know that you were asked to wait in the lobby and that you and your pet were floated back as a non-emergent visit. This means that your pet was stable when presented. When we are seeing a high volume of patients we will bring non-emergent patients back into exam rooms once all critical patients are stable and closer to the time a veterinarian will be available to see a non-emergent case.
