Richard James and Richard Long did an excellent job of preparing Federal, California and Hawaii tax returns for my wife and me. We are Hawaii residents and we highly recommend James & Associates.
We had a very bad experience with James & Associates and would not recommend it to anyone. Our taxes were way more complex in 2018 than 2019 but initially we were charged more for our 2019 taxes. When we confronted them with this fact, they did lower our fee by a little bit. After this was done, we asked what the hourly rate was because it seemed to be still way to high for such simple taxes (married couple, no kids, no properties, one job each).
