Do not purchase a property managed by JAR. Today, 10 days from exchanging on my property (which I have been trying to sell for over 2 years and had to knock £25,000 off the market price), the buyer has pulled out because ‘JAR have not been forthcoming’ with information regarding the damaged roof. We have had a very disappointing experience with this property management company. Our night concierge, Daisy has demonstrated discriminatory behavior towards Asians! We raised this concern with JAR, but no action was taken and our complaint was not properly addressed. Based on our experience, we would not recommend properties managed by JAR, particularly to Asian residents.
Its now 7 days and disabled people, as well as those with health issues, are still locked in their flats, because they cannot get out. They cannot get out because they are waiting for the lift in the building to be fixed. If you're looking for responsible residential management companies - do not go near this company!
If you’re thinking of buying a property that JAR manage, run away fast. Utterly hopeless and disinterested, spending money without any regard for whether quotes represent value or work is even necessary. A year after having switched, our block is still trying to pick up the pieces. Avoid at all costs.
