Many Seattle visitors miss treasures in out-of-the-way West Seattle. Not least among these is this little steak house called Jak's Grill. Limited seating doesn't stop guests from putting their names on the waiting list. The decor is characterized by dark woods and dim lights. There are five top-grade steaks on the menu, from Filet Mignon to Porterhouse au Poivre. You will also find a selection of seafood, chicken and pork. A huge meal here should cost less than $20. There is also a bar in the back.

Great Steakhouse – Jak's is a great place to have a steak. Great value for the prime meat they serve you too compared to expensive downtown meat palaces. Service is friendly and sincere. You'll get the same level of service whether you order a hamburger or the filet mignon. One tip to avoid an inevitable wait is to simply go early before 6:30pm or so. Food comes quick so this is an ideal place if you don't want to spend 2 hours eating dinner.
Excellent Service Excellent Food. – The service was fast the food was great. The price was on average $60 for two so the $$ rating should be $$$. All the specials were sold out be 8:30 when we arrived and the place was packed. All being said and done this place is a GREAT steak house and worth the trip to west seattle.
Jak's has gone downhill! – I used to be a big Jak's fan, but the last 3 times I've eaten there I've been disappointed. The steaks haven't been good at all. After the first disappointment I went back a couple more times, thinking it was a fluke, but it's starting to look like a trend. That's been my experience anyway...
Jak's is the BEST – The steaks are superb. The service is unmatched - friendly, knowledgeable, casual yet classy. The atmosphere is trendy but not 'too' cool - it has attitude but anyone fits in. The value is unbeatable - so much for so little! Friends who are steak conisseurs can be taken with confidence! An all around great experience.
Great Food for a Great Price – I took my out-of-town family there on a recommendation, and did not regret it. Food was delicious, prices were extremely reasonable for portions, and the wait staff were very friendly and accomodating. I can not say the same for Metro Grill (horrible steak, very stuck up service). I have gone back to Jak's 3 times since, and loved it every time. Not wow......WOW – I can't help but snicker at those who without eating at Jak's, won't recommend it and complain because of the wait. Even with reservations, someone is going to have to wait. First come first serve is great, and if you call ahead, they will let you know what the wait time is. There are three Jak's now, the food is consistent at all of them, try another location! Best Restaurant in Seattle – Jak's is simply the best steak restuarant in Seattle. The food is consistently phenomenal, no matter if you order steak, seafood or the daily specials. What you may not know is that Jak's has the best burger in town. The staff are awesome, and the whole experience cannot be beat.
Wow, at half the price! – The best steak in town and at a price that allows you to go twice as often. Each meal comes with salad, vegetable and choice of baked, garlic mashed or potato pancakes (you can even have half garlic and half potato pancake). Three of us recently each had a steak and two of us had a drink each and the bill was $75.00, can't beat that.
Simply the best! – I eat at JaK's quarterly at the very least, and I'm treated like a king every time. I'm either really lucky, or rather well liked, because I've never had more than an hour's wait, even on a Friday. Each dish, no matter how many times I have it, is a new experience. Don't cheat yourself any longer. The wait is more than worth it...
