Many Seattle visitors miss treasures in out-of-the-way West Seattle. Not least among these is this little steak house called Jak's Grill. Limited seating doesn't stop guests from putting their names on the waiting list. The decor is characterized by dark woods and dim lights. There are five top-grade steaks on the menu, from Filet Mignon to Porterhouse au Poivre. You will also find a selection of seafood, chicken and pork. A huge meal here should cost less than $20. There is also a bar in the back.

Amazing steaks, good portions – WOW! I checked on the review on this place. And its great. huge portions, small feel, good service. I went for our anniversary it was lovely, we sat in a nice booth. I had the shiskabobs with ribeye and filet. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Topped with this cheese. Wonderful! I would go back and recommend to anyone! My hubby loved his too!
Love this place. When I want a good steak I come here. The wine selection is incredible and the service is always good. I look this place.
best darn burger – this place rocks and if you go from 4:30 to 5:30 m-f you get the best burger for $5 Love this place way too much
Best steak in Seattle – We go out to dinner just about every weekend and we try to go to a different place each time. Jak's Grill might be the best steak we have ever had in Seattle. My husband ordered the 40oz porterhouse and I had the petite filet. Both were excellent and cooked to perfection. The appetizers and sides were also AMAZING. BEWARE, NEW STAFF RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY – In the past month I have had (3) brunches and a lunch and loved it until this past Monday. My 85 yr old mother in law went in at 4:45pm to meet my wife, son and his girlfriend. She was told she couldn't sit down, couldn't get a table, they would not speak to her when she asked a question. A little inconsistent but Great Steak – I took my boyfriend to Jak's Grill for his birthday because we had both been wanting to try it. Overall the experience was very nice. The hostess was very accomodating - moving us to another booth at our request when we were first seated. Our server was gracious as well - she explained the differences in the cuts of steak and was quick to ask us if we'd like more drinks when they were getting low. Flavor for dollar can not be beat – Living a couple blocks away from Jak's Grill, I've had the pleasure of enjoying my carnivorous side at JaK's Grill in West Seattle. While they've raised their prices over the years, they have still remained one of the best steakhouses in the greater Seattle area and certain, I think, the best steakhouse, dollar for dollar. Be aware – Got sick the last time I ate there. Terrible wait and bad service. The hostess was hostile and did not care about the long wait. We have had good experiences before and the food was good. This last time, it was crowded and the service was bad. I would not go in a large group or after 6:30. The wait can be up to 2 hours. We will not return.

In taking friends to JaK's in Laurelhurst, my girls' brother went to the bathroom, and found himself chattering it up with one of the line cooks/supervisor Ron or Ronny whatever.
