Better than the Met! – The wait might be long, but it's well worth it! The filet is fabulous and the pork chop is a wonderful alternative.
A great night! – 1/18/03. Free parking one block west. Warned to get there by 5/5:30pm, arrived at 6pm. 5pm, the wait was ~10min. By 6pm the wait was 1hr20min., the little bar in back is full. We sat near the waiting area. Next we'll try the balcony seating. Not too loud, the noise was at a 'jolly' level. I ordered the Delmonico she ordered the stuffed chop. sit up and be quiet – superb meat and ambiance. Great service but a bit too quick.
Definitely the best! – I have always gone to the big swanky steak houses, thinking that they HAD to have the best steak, but Jak's has proven me wrong! Not only are the steaks seasoned well and are absolutley delicious, but there is real value here! The staff is exceptionally courteous, the wine list short but sweet and the food just can't be beat! I wish they'd take reservations, because the 1 1/2 hour waits are horrible, but in the end, it was definetely worth it! Try the burger...that's the best in town too!
Jak's is where it's at in West Seattle – Fun place to go and feel special, Great steaks and potatoe cakes. Busy place get there early
Best in Seattle !! – I am very picky at fine Steak. Jak's steak is one of the two places I will go for a relaxing steak dinner. Porterhouse and lamb are must try.
crunchy fries – My friend recommend this restautrant to me. The size of restaurant is smaller comapre to metropolitan grill. However, the food is readlly good, specially the potter house. There are 2 types of potatoes to go with it, bake and fried. Fried one is my favourite
Best Steaks in Seattle. Period. – Why spend $60 or $80 at the Met or Daniels, when you can go to JaKs. JaKs not only has better steaks, (not to mention the garlic mashed potatoes and potato pancakes), but you can EASILY get out for around $25-$30 / person!!!! Simply Amazing Steaks.
Excellent – This is a first-rate steakhouse, but without the outrageous prices. The only downside (and it is a big one) is that they do not take reservations, and the wait times are outrageous. Do not go there if you don't have time to sit around and wait in their cramped bar, or if you have theater tickets, etc. for after dinner.
