In my initial contact with the dealer, I thought my mention of a trade in would "qualify" me as a "serious" buyer, in their eyes. Being 1500 miles away presents some unique complications to completing a transaction, so I needed to feel the dealer or their representative was engaged in a way that could produce a successful transaction for both of us. Went to test driver car. During test drive check engine light came on. Brought back and asked if they would read code. I was told they would get back to us on monday by sales person. Called on tuesday when no call was given Monday asking about the car and was told it was sold tuesday.
Worked with Joe - very nice and not push at all. It was a little too old for me and had a recall on the fuel pump so I decided not to pursue it any further.
Was ok they couldn't sell me the car cuz I am living in Detroit .

Sales people were extremely friendly as was the business manager. Unfortunately, they were not entirely competent. The car is a 5.5 hour drive so I asked the salesman to do a walk around to let me know the condition of the car. He responded the car was in excellent condition with no visible flaws. On that evaluation I went to look at it. The car had curb rash on the wheel, as well as some knicks on the driver's door and on the back of the car.
