Professional and Quick – Jack is an amazingly talented taylor that got my job done even though he was in a crunch. He is someone that I will definetly be going back to in the future.
Great customer service – Back in 1996 I needed a vintage leather jacket to be cleaned. I took the jacket to a random dry cleaner somewhere in Cambridge, but I sensed that the random dry cleaner was dishonest and wanted to steal my jacket from me. The jacket was not worth much money, but was of sentimental value to me. At that moment I remembered that a friend of mine who had moved away took her tailoring and dry cleaning to Jack the Tailor on Massachusetts Avenue. Fabulous Tailor! – Unless you're perfect, you need tailoring! Jack is the man to see. I have been taking him all sorts of garments, department-store sportcoats, consignment specials, used tuxedos and many pairs of pants for the last ten years. The final product always makes me look my very best. Jack will discuss his recommendations and fit you with the utmost courtesy. He is always up-front about his reasonable prices. It is a pleasure to do business with a tailor whose craft borders on artistry!
Jack is the best! – Jack is an excellent tailor. He remembers you after a single visit, and is very flexible with when you need your clothes back. He takes great pride in his work and I find that refreshing. He has knowledge of current styles and additionally is aware of what lengths/cuts will looks good with certain body types. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! JACK RUINED MY DENIMS AND GAVE ME ATTITUDE ABOUT IT TOO!!! Go to Newbury Tailor Co. located on Newbury St. instead. – Based on the postive reviews on citysearch, I decided to give Jack a try on hemming my $200+ denims and get the original hems reattached. At first he was nice and explained everything in details on what he was planning to do. Best tailor I have ever had, for big and small jobs – Fantastic! Incredible work that I have to say exceeds anything I've ever enjoyed from an in-store tailor at one of the high-end suit stores like Barney's. I have entrusted a complete suit re-tailoring and he did wonderfully yet at a reasonable price.
You'd have to go overseas AND travel back in time to find a better tailor – After Jack get's done with my clothes I suspect he has increased their value. He has done for me everything from jean hems (keeping the orignal cuff on) to dresses for weddings and winter coats. I know how to sew fairly well, but I could not even approach the kind of the stuff that he does flawlessly. (Perhaps I can intern for him?) His kind demeanor and genuine desire to accommodate his customers is very refreshing. I travel from Jamaica Plain to seek Jack's services and would never consider going anywhere else. Jack's Tailoring is a 10+!!!
Fantasic customer service – I can't recommend Jack's Tailoring enough! Jack himself is very kind and welcoming and he always does an excellent job. I have been happy ever single time I have gone to Jack and even though I am moving out of Porter Square I am still going to bring my things to Jack when I need to have something altered. He is honest and fair and I would recommend his store to everyone.
