Emerging from the alcoholic waves of post-Prohibition activity, Jack Fry's tavern opened up way back in 1933. Mr. Fry closed the original incarnation of the restaurant in 1972 and it changed hands for a few years until it re-opened with the same moniker in 1987. The new owner (a former waitress at old Jack's) still pays homage to the man with his old horse racing pictures and other sports memorabilia hanging on the walls. There were four of us. When our entrees came, you could have spun the table around & I would have eaten any of them. We all loved our meals.
Always great service and never disapointed ! Salads are always so fresh.
So we had the Escargot for an appetizer, I had the duck meal, and my wife had the duck kale salad; everything was absolutely amazing! Our favorite of the three dishes by far was the escargot, neither of us had ever had it before so we were apprehensive but Jack Fry's blew us away with that dish. There are only two reasons I rated this 4 stars: 1. Portion Size, we would have liked to get a bit more food for our money (although the flavor kind of made up for it) and 2. It was very loud. Jack's is our absolute favorite place to go for a special lunch or dinner. Yesterday was our 48th wedding anniversary lunch and it was awesome. The food was incredible as always and our service was top notch thanks to Jenni. Thankyou again for making our day even more special. Hope to be back soon.
We love Jack Fry's! Best food and service ever! We celebrated my grown daughter's birthday. They were great. Dinner was a wonderful experience! The salmon was awesome! And don't forget to go when Steve Crews plays the piano! He's terrific!
