Emerging from the alcoholic waves of post-Prohibition activity, Jack Fry's tavern opened up way back in 1933. Mr. Fry closed the original incarnation of the restaurant in 1972 and it changed hands for a few years until it re-opened with the same moniker in 1987. The new owner (a former waitress at old Jack's) still pays homage to the man with his old horse racing pictures and other sports memorabilia hanging on the walls. We came to your restaurant after the Archery competition. I must say this is the most amazing eatery that I know of. The hospitality is wonderful. As a former mayor of the City of Elkton, this was not my first visit. I would recommend any entre that was on menu.
Wow this restaurant was good! Lucky enough to get in during Derby. Place is small and loud but very enjoyable. Service was great. Waiter was informed, courteous and likeable. Good wine list. Had a great manhattan ( ok maybe 2). Fried oysters and filet were incredible. A must visit restaurant.
Fun pictures look at!!! Beautifully prepared food an a awesome wine menu bar seating though when u don't have a reservation on a thursday night!!! ��
One of the best meals and experience I've had in Louisville. Yes, it's pricey but worth every penny. I'll definitely be back.
