One of many offshoots of the original Ivar's Acres of Clams, the Salmon House represents the Seattle institution's attempt at contemporary dining. Located in a replica Indian longhouse, the restaurant features salmon and meats alder-smoked on the open-pit Indian-style barbecue. The chef does best with straightforward seafood preparations. Don't get me wrong. But the fish and chips have really gotten smaller. We were there yesterday and I ordered the 3 piece of fish and chips. The fish was just as big as my fingers. It's a shame.

Great atmosphere and service, beautiful view and delicious food. Great variety of food and wine.
