One of many offshoots of the original Ivar's Acres of Clams, the Salmon House represents the Seattle institution's attempt at contemporary dining. I enjoy the flavor combinations good service perfect cooked salmon.
One of my faves here for nearly 30 years. Great food, beautiful setting and great service. A nice perk: They now state in the receipt that tips are not expected - in fact there's not even a blank line on the final receipt to leave a tip with your credit card. States wait staff get some kind of profit sharing in addition to higher pay than regular wait staff. I'm hoping that means they are paid generously!
Even though it is a seafood restaurant, my friend Joel convinced me to try the burger. Good advice. It was amazingly tasty. Sure, its known for seafood, but they kinda have beef down, too. And don’t forget the view. Seriously, the view.

We had a fantastic experience! We went to Sunday Brunch (the last one I was sad to hear) with a group to celebrate a birthday. The selection and quality of the food was exceptional and our experience was top notch.
I took my family to a new place for our annual Christmas Brunch. My grandsons chose Ivar's Salmon House. We loved everything! Our table was on the water - great view, our server was happy and pleasant, and my grandchildren were excited to have what ever they wanted to eat. Too bad that yesterday was the last Sunday brunch for the Salmon House. We had a wonderful time yesterday & thank you for not hurrying us out of the restaurant. This was our only time for all of us to get together for the holidays.
