Shop shut on Saturday morning despite listed opening hours. No one answered the landline or mobile line either. Disappointing.
August 21, 2025 Back again, sash cords busted on my bedroom window, Islington Glass to the rescue in the form of Dermot, both windows out, Hour and one half, back in, no mess and a very reasonable price. I called today and told the fella over the phone that I have a smokey glass table and want to cut it smaller. He replied that “You cannot cut through smokey glass used for table tops”. However, elsewhere on the reviews, I read that they have done exactly this for clients. Unsure why he replied that he can’t but here’s the deal. This company cannot cut through toughened or tempered glass because i presume from their response that they simply doesn't have the specialist tools to do so. I recently had two pictures framed here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The advice and help I got from the staff in choosing the right frame and border was spot on. When I collected the pictures I didn't unwrap them until I got home. I was so pleased with the result I called the shop straight away to thank them. Thanks again guys. I have no hesitation in recommending Islington Glass. Excellent service
