Dr. Kanellakos performed a total knee replacement using MAKO robotic surgery in Jan. 2024.He was very honest with regard to what to expect post- operatively. Was empathetic with the post- operative pain and helped me through it and the surgery went very well. When I was discharged from the hospital I was using a cane and was walking on my own in less than 10 days. Must also add I was very motivated to walk on my own. I now, have no pain in my knee. Dr Kothavale is very focused and attentive during my appointments with him. He takes his time when answering questions. In addition, he always reviews all of my medications for possible contractions.Dr Kothavale is very approachable and easy to talk to..I have 100 percent confidence in Dr Kothavale and would recommend him without hesitation.

I told him that I was a few weeks into a colitis flare and he told me to wait a few weeks to see if it improves, then made an appointment for 3 months later. When I told him I needed more help, he referred me to a doctor in NYC.
