Ian was the most effective and valuable realtor I have ever worked with. I came to Ian knowing that I wanted to sell my place, but not having any idea which improvements to make, how to price it, or how long it would take to sell. Ian had a very intelligent perspective on the market, gave me very specific advice on which improvements to make, and he even gave me a list of trusted contractors to use. Ian was a pleasure to work with - personable, always accessible (no matter what time day or night we had a question), and very savvy about the area and how to best market the property. It is obvious he has been in this business for a long time. I would recommend Ian to anyone looking to sell or buy a home in the Chicago area!

I have been meaning to write this review FOREVER. We have moved 6 times in the past 4 years, and Ian is BY FAR the best realtor we have worked with (I wish I could move him with me). We used him to sell our condo in Lakeview, and he got it done in 23 days! In person, he is super cool and relaxed, but man he works hard. No matter what day/time I called or emailed he, he always answered right away. I don't know how he does it, considering how busy he is...he must have 10 clones of himself. I have known Ian for over 11 years. He was first referred to me in 2003 to assist me in a home purchase. He was as personable as I expected him to be, but he was all business. During our first meeting he walked me through the home buying process and prepared a list of the features I was looking for. He then set aside blocks of time over three days and had me out shopping. Ian helped my husband and I buy our first home in Chicago. He was terrific to work with throughout the entire process - knowledgeable about the market, willing to listen to and answer our many questions, and extremely helpful with negotiations. Working with Ian was great. We was very upfront and honest with his assessment about selling my house. He presented a lot of research about the area and recent sales/listings which allowed us to determine a reasonable selling price. In addition, his ability to arrange for staging and minor updates allowed for a quick sale and closing. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
