Taryn M**** originally was my Tax Pro to review my return before submitting to the IRS. She called and asked if I wished to purchase Peace of Mind & identity theft protection for my dependents. I told her this was already paid for when I completed my return online. Honestly I wish I couldn't give any stars, but the system makes me. H&R block needs to rethink their contract with Meta bank quickly!!!!!! I filed my taxed with H&R block and chose to do the refund transfer ( where my tax fees are taken out of my refund). I have been choosing this option for the past several years with them. I noticed that my bank account information was missing a digit. So I called the main H&R Block number. I went to the H&R block near my residence in Alexandria. I was assisted by Robert Blades and was initially given adequate service. After we closed my return and i went to par, Mr. Blake informed me he would reduce my bill in line with a promotion they were giving. The promotion would reduce my bill by $60 and i was instructed not to pay so Mr. Blake could go into the system and correct my bill, but to my suprise my bill had already been payed. After being charged a total of $91.41 to do everything myself online and have H&R Block file, I received my Federal Refund minus an additional $19.99. I went through support and Tier II support after a lengthy almost 3 hour call on Feb 18 2021 which they acknowledged the additional amount that was taken out of my federal refund and I was to receive a return call a few hours later. I successfully filed using the online web services for both Federal and State. At the end of which, I owed a moderate amount of taxes to both Fed and State. The automated page to 'pay' your taxes did not specify that it was for FEDERAL ONLY. Unfortunately, I entered an amount equal to the combined state and fed amounts. Issue: I then called the customer support, described the issue to get the charge refunded so I could pay the appropriate federal amount and then state amount. H&R block failed to do our taxes propery was told by Joseph Vacanti.that his agent did not do the taxes right because she inserted wrong info it took him close to 11 months to straighten it out which any other tax guy could do in 2 days in the meantime Oklahoma sent it to collections we are pissed of the incompetence he told us not to worry during the 11 months and don't pay the penalty all those 11 months in the end we have egg all over face don't use them or trust them.

They messed up my tax return for 2019 so bad that the IRS is now rejecting my 2020 return. They not only told the IRS that I had insurance through the marketplace (when I didnt) they also misspelled my name. How can you call yourselves a reliable tax service when you can't even spell a person's name right.
