YOU ALL PRICE GAUGE UNEMPLOYED STUDENTS. My mother, who makes over 100k a year, paid less with her CPA to file her taxes.My CPA was rude, I experienced very uncomfortable micro-aggressions, and I was told that I had to pay $500 and I couldn't use my miniscule return to pay it. I had to put it on my freaking credit card. Will NEVER file with any of your branches again. I hope you enjoy taking $500 from a broke grad student who now needs to figure how I will eat for the next month!!! Cheers to you!

I scheduled a tax appt with ******* McCoord at H&R Block in **********, **. She refused to review my property taxes automatically assuming I didnt have enough to itemize. I asked if there were any credits or additional stimulus money that could help lower the *** of tax debt owed. She looked at me shrugging her shoulders and states, "Not that I know of." I have been trying for the past 4 days to get help with a question regarding the software and until now have not been able to talk to a person that can help me. I am on the phone waiting for 20 minutes and then transferred to another person for a 20 minute wait, and it goes on and on. One time a message came on that the system was down and click, disconnected after at least 1 wait. The system crashed several times through out the process of entering data. I have been using the ****, **. (*****) tax office for several years now. Today I made an appointment online to drop off my tax documents. When I arrived, ***** told me that they could not prepare my taxes because they were all booked up through the end of the month. If this is true, why was I able to make an appointment? I had my taxes done on February 18th, 2022. I gave my tax preparer my checkbook so I could she could enter my account number, so there would be no errors and my refund of over ****** dollars could be directly deposited into my account. Little did I know she entered 1 number wrong.. I realize mistakes happen but after the mistake made and the money went to my bank but was deposited into someone else's account. Hand R Block has not helped me in a year. I cant get ab answer and when someone DOES answer, its usually to tell me that I can call another number? why cant they give me an answer? The *** will take your money just like Hand R Block does. ****** to prepare my taxes just to tell me that they cant do anymore to locate my money. I use the online tax filling services with H&R Block. The past several years I've paid extra for the tax pro review at the end, not fully understanding how much value they were adding, but I did it for peace of mind. If you use a tax pro and an audit finds that an error was made, H&R Block owns the fines and fixes your documents at no cost. This year was very telling on what I'm paying extra for, or really that I'm paying extra and it's not worth it. Beware! Bait and Switch charges on tax preparation. Last year they charged me $250 for a simple tax prep, and no tax was owed. This year, about the same but I owed $1000 in fed tax. When the **** for the same 45 minute tax prep job was presented, price went up to $700. Same work 3X the price. I was told of this increase and if I owed tax, it was "more". This was switched after I took the bait of $250 dollars. This is white collar FRAUD. Go anywhere else.

I have been using these guys for a few years without an issue. This year I took a picture of my w2 their software uploaded the info and I submitted the return. I noticed after I submitted it that I took a picture of the wrong w2. I went back to fix it but it said I had to wait for it to be accepted. I waited thinking they would catch it and send it back for me to update. They didnt, it was accepted.
