Major glitches in the software and the inability to file my state. Incorrect information was also imported from the previous years. Their customer support is non existent and unconscionably bad and dangerous. The sign on the door stated "*************". My wife and I entered and there were no people in the waiting area. The employee behind the counter asked if we had an appointment. I told her that we would wait. I was told that we could make an appointment for three days from now or drop off my paperwork and we would be called when it was ready. They ensured us after a computer system glitched that the charges didn't go through. So they deleted them and re-charged everything. Then a couple days later both charged occurrences go through the bank. We call the company. They tell us when they look at the system it only shows the one only.
Im still in shock with the amount of money that I was charged to do my personal taxes this has nothing to do with the *** and her valuable time and work but we were quoted about 80 something dollars which was already on the *** of what we wanted pay and being $370 is an absurd amount of money for thar I am so upset and I will never work with your office again or the company as its really unprofessional to quote 4 times different amount !!! I have used ***** block online for my returns for a few years. this by far was the worse year using them and have finally decided next year to support my local tax preparers. Went to H&R for tax prep. Simple low income retired with no extra forms to file. They charged me over $400 EVEN with no forms other than my **** pension. As if that isn't bad enough, The state issued my refund on March 21st. Instead of being sent to me, H&R had it sent to their bank. Today, April 12th, twenty two days later, H&R's bank hasn't sent me a *****. They advertise free filing for low income...Well THAT's a crock of bovine ***** matter.
I bought the online program and attempted to install it on my MAC with an error message appearing. Tried to install on my windows computer. It would not install on that either. Spent 2 hours on hold to never hear a human voice. The freaking call number would hang up on me after approximately 30 minutes. Now that I have attempted numerous installs, I have exceeded my 7 try limit. I cannot get help. So frustrated right now I could cry. I attempted to e-file my taxes this weekend. My federal got rejected because the online program decided that one of the credits H&R Block were including was going to note that I was filing as "married, filing jointly," while the rest of my taxes were being filed as "single." I printed the paperwork to mail in my returns, when I noticed that my state return requires me to file additional paperwork, that I had not previously intended on filing. Went in to have my taxes done because the ********************** to do so. I get to this place of business and Im told they are booked. I said why would they direct me here if they were booked.
