Hotel Stebbins started life as the Ahnapee House in 1857 and has always operated as a hotel. In later years, the restaurant and bar were added to create what is now Algoma's only full-service hotel. Built by Charles Lewis Fellows at a time when there were only 4 framed buildings in Algoma, The Ahnapee House was built from materials shipped in from Racine, Wisconsin. Classy place. Great food. Nice location. The rooms and the lower level are historically correct and classy!
I would like to thank Kristine and all her staff at Hotel Stebbins for all their hard work this past Ladies Weekend! Every year they give their all to accommodate all of us boisterous ladies! The service is always great and the food was excellent! See you at Winefest!
Beautiful, vintage, great staff, clean rooms but not cookie cutter, great locations where you can walk most everywhere from the hotel, food was good!
Had the shrimp and lobster linguine. 3 little shrimps. and the lobster was smaller than the bread crumbs. Was not happy with the meal .
Stayed here for the second time with a group of friends for our New Year celebration. Love this place...it's quaintness, friendliness, cleanliness and if you are lucky enough to eat in the dining room you'll keep coming back! Algoma is a lovely town on Lake Michigan's shore where you can visit shops, wineries, little breweries, specialty food shops, bakeries and parks close to Green Bay and scenic Door County. It's just a lovely historic place to visit and stay!

It was great! Only stayed for 1 night. I was in town for a vendor event and stayed at the Hotel Stebbins. The bar was so relaxing....the food rocked! So accommodating also.......I am one of the thousands who sleep with a fan and I forgot my small one.......the bartender overheard me comment and said...."oh, we have a fan. We will bring it up to your room." Definitely stay again......next time in warm weather.
