Hotel Stebbins started life as the Ahnapee House in 1857 and has always operated as a hotel. In later years, the restaurant and bar were added to create what is now Algoma's only full-service hotel. Built by Charles Lewis Fellows at a time when there were only 4 framed buildings in Algoma, The Ahnapee House was built from materials shipped in from Racine, Wisconsin. We stopped in for a quick dinner and this place came very highly recommended. The only saving grace was that the burger was decent. For a group of four we received one small roll of bread. We waited at least 45 minutes to get our food and the server was MIA for 3/4 of the meal. Not vegetarian or food allergy friendly so one person in our party ate the aforementioned roll and that’s it. RecommendedWent here for my wife’s birthday dinner. I have had drinks here before and the bar was always good. The dinner we had was great as well! Our waitress Desiree was excellent and did a great job with our “naughtiness”. Kristine and her group will make your group feel very welcomed and provide you a great meal.
Love going to the Hotel Stebbins on Saturday night - their prime rib special is wonderful - but then so is the shrimp. Love the home made soups and salad bar as well.
The food was off the charts awesome. Service was great too. She was only on the floor for 2 weeks & did a nice job.
We only stayed one night ! What a great place . Everything was perfect from the drinks at the Bar , the Prime rib meal, the Garden room , too the employees ! Great location walking distance to everything we wanted to see !! Gotta love Algoma See you next year cause we're gonna come back ����
Stayed in Algoma this weekend had a great time at the winery and the food at Hotel Stebbins was fantastic had surf and turf, the liver patte',Deseree' was an excellent server.will be coin back.
It was a Sunday evening so very quiet, great hospitality and loved the view. The restaurant was awesome.
