The first time here as in Fall 2012 and it was so memorable that I couldn't wait to try it again. June 2017 I finally get back to Birmingham and tried it a 2nd time, this time with 2 couples to make sure my mouth was not lying to me. O.M.G. Completely wonderful. We reserved the chef's table so we got to see how the magic is done and that was a lot of fun. The food is top notch in every way. Our server. John Cordes, SAVED THE DAY! First impression wasn't good due to a misunderstanding regarding our reservation. John assured us we would be well taken care of and we were. Food was delicious. service was impeccable and the presentation was fab!
Traveling through we came upon the website, and called for a table. None were available except in the cocktail bar. No less service there, the food was incredible! Rabbit for an appetizer, duck and soft shell crab for the entrees and chocolate mousse and a nutty port for dessert!!! #Tastebuds satisfied#. �
Checked off an item on my restaurant bucket list. But, I added their sister restaurant, Ovenbird. Hot & Hot was everything I imagined. I can't wait to revisit Birmingham and hit both of these in one weekend!
