Hospice of Northwest Ohio served its first patients in 1981 and is the Toledo area's largest provider of hospice care. A non-profit, community-based organization, we are the only area agency solely dedicated to caring for the terminally ill. In 2013, we served more than 2,500 patients and families in their own homes, in nursing homes and at our freestanding Hospice Centers. Edit: On March 5, 2019, after 2 weeks in hospice my dad passed away. He got wonderful care all the way to the very end. My dad is currently in inpatient hospice care. The staff respond quickly. Any questions they consult directly with the doctor. I know my dad is in good hands. I go and visit my dad everyday. Staff have ALWAYS been very friendly and compassionate.
The people; doctors, nurses, aides, volunteers, food services staff and any one else I may have missed.... You are doing the work of angels! Thank you.

My brother in law was here when he passed away the staff is remarkable! They are very caring to the patient and the family. They made sure he was comfortable and not in pain. The staff kept his his wife and family members abreast of what was happening. Keith went to be with God Dec 30th 2018 with his nurse by his side.

Thank you all so much for helping my father transition with comfort and dignity. We were reluctant to move him out of the comfort of his own home, but once we arrived there we knew immediately that it was the best decision. You all handled him beautifully and it was such a relief. More grateful than you’ll ever know. Thanks again.
Great, clean facility. Staff is very attentive & awesome. This is where my dad was in his final stages of life. I’ll never forget the nurse, I cannot remember her name as it’s been about 7 years, but I will ALWAYS remember her face, that sat & cried with me. I had to leave, as I am diabetic & I needed to get home to my medicine. She reassured me he would be in great hands, sadly about 5 hours later I got the call he had passed. The staff at this facility with hold your hand & walk with you the entire journey!
