At Hospice of Chattanooga in Athens, our care is family focused. We understand that the end-of-life journey can be demanding and stressful for everyone involved. In addition to meeting the patient's medical needs, our staff works very hard to treat the emotional and spiritual needs of the patient's loved ones, too. We offer the following services to our hospice families:

I want to say thank you to your organization and especially to Dawn, my mom's grief counselor. The support from your company has been so helpful, professional, and reassuring. Dawn took the time to talk with me recently about what's ahead for my mom and our family, and our conversation helped me find peace of mind. She is SO good at what she does, and I hope you guys take good care of her like she has my family!! ❤️ Thank you to your entire team!
I wouldn’t take my dog there. My Daddy died there in 2013.
My Father Passed Away Last Night 12/25/2019 his nurses who stood by his side answered all my questions and helped me gain strength when I needed it I really appreciate everything you all have done for him and myself I cannot express how much I really appreciate EVERYTHING.... Amber, Amanda and Erin you 3 were the absolute best nurses. I’d also like to thank the nurse Whitney who drove to my house when dad passed and helped me get everything together because lord knows I was a mess and couldn’t even find myself much love ladi... read more
I would like to say Thank You to all the nurses and staff who cared for my mother during the last 4 days of her journey on this earth. I appreciate all the care they showed my mother and the kindness and compassion they showed my family on her final day. I failed to get your names, but I appreciate each one of you so much.❤
I am so thankful that I was given the information about this wonderful organization and that I made the call. Everyone is very caring and they bring so many great ideas for dealing with these emotions and remembering our loved ones. If you have suffered the loss of a loved one, call them.
I hope it is OK to use this messenger to thank you for the wonderful care provided by the N Ga group for my deceased husband, Clinton M. Graves of Flintstone GA. His primary team consisted of Rhonda, RN, Jason, RN, and Judy, CNA. Their care of him and support for me, his spouse and caregiver exceeded our expectations. Clinton’s desire was to remain at home and die at home. Because of Hospice of Chattanooga he was able to do this. We did see other staff members occasionally and all of them were very professional and compassio... read more
They should start off by being honest with families. The day my father transitioned the nurse lied by saying she didn't think he was transitioning and just needed his meds changed. When we got to the Care Center we were informed that my father was indeed dying. In addition to that it is my belief that the nurse hastened his death. He had just started morphine that day. My intuition told me to check the bottle and sure enough the bottle was almost empty. In closing Hospice led us to believe several things none of which were t... read more
My mom was a patient thru them and they took great care of her. I would recommend them to anyone
I am an aide for home health and I currently have a client under their care. there are personal things I cannot disclose due to HIPAA laws, but I will say I would never leave my family in their care. there is a guy specifically named Jason that hit their mailbox and nothing was done and who has been rude on the phone multiple times. short staffed and some nurses are unprofessional. I have met some that company are lucky to have that is great at their job. but those arnt always available when all should be that way.
