Friendly staff...not so friendly food... – We went here because so many people raved about it...we were very very disappointed!! I ordered the eggs Benedict and the sauce on top was spicy...who wants spice sauce with eggs??...not me!! There was so many peppers and onions throughout the potatoes.... that they were inedible. The coffee was extremely bitter. The only saving grace was the cranberry juice was cold and the people who worked there were very friendly. Its ashame they dont just let there food speak for itself...they ... read more
Stellar french toast! – Honey's has some great food, particularly the challah french toast. They also have excellent biscuits. Pancakes with fillings such as bananas were light and better than average too. The BBQ pork sandwiches are just fair while teh brisciut sandwiches were dry and overcooked. Breakfast is served all day here, and apparently lunch specials can be ordered in the morning hours as well. The hostess and table runners were extremely attentive and kept checking to make sure we were happy but our servers on mul... read more
Great food, reasonable prices – I went to Honey's for the first time on Saturday, and i had a wonderful experience. We went for lunch around 3:00 PM, so there was no wait at all. My sister ordered the cream of mushroom soup and loved it. I ordered the veggie burger with french fries-which was absolutely delish!! The veggie burger is served on brioche with a tangy sauce, which makes for an awesome combination. The french fries were seasoned well, and had a nice thick texture. Also, they didn't taste like they were overly frie... read more
Come on over to Honey's – So. I recently moved to Phila and have been relentlessly searching for a funky/chill/anything goes eating spot with amazing food. Found it. Honey's. The mix of people is just great; everyone has a distinct personal style and emits a down-to-earth vibe. Mid 20s to mid 50s was the age mix. Even cooler? I saw a family with their children getting their grub on. Now...getting down to the nitty-gritty. The food was excellent. Huge variety, something for everyone (vegan/veggie). Fresh ingredients, creative... read more
Great food and great staff, but insanely busy on the weekends. – Honey's is definately my favorite brunch place. They have something for everyone, even vegans (which I am). The only thing that would make Honey's better for me would be to have a few more vegan options, like maybe vegan french toast or pancakes. That would rock. Anytime someone is visiting me from out of town, my husband and I take them to Honey's.
Great Food and charming atmosphere – I just love this place. The food is fantastic and unique, the place oozes charm, and it's easily one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in the city. I urge anyone to check this place out!
Kosher lunch at grandma's – Saturday lunch was pretty crowded. I snagged a barstool and was served pretty quick. I got a pastrami reuben sandwich, and it was darn good. Honey's is probably the only place in philly that will remind you of your grandma's farmhouse.
Philly Has Finally Found Its Breakfast Nirvana – A top-flight breakfast experience. The menu ranges from jewish standards (lox, whitefish) to traditional pancakes, home-made sausage, delicious french toast. All top quality, good service and kid-friendly to boot. Can be a long wait, but nothing compared to other popular breakfast spots. Can't go wrong here.
Love it! – I went for the first time 3 weeks ago on a Sunday with my boyfriend. The next week we took his kids and a friend and loved it just as much! It's our new favorite spot. Only a minor drawback is that we have to drive across town. But you do get to check out the cool homes in the area.
