I recommend Dr Holmes for total hip replacement. I have people ask who did my surgery due to the fact that I am doing so well and have no pain. Thank you Dr Holmes for giving me back my ability to walk again pain free.
He barely let me say anything and was a little rude to me, he looked at me for a few seconds and rushed me out of the office before I could explain anything further. Also did not explain the issue to me at all I didn’t even know what my diagnosis was until I read it on the PT referral.
He didn't really let me explain my symptoms and very briefly looked me over before rushing me out of the office, Was a little rude to me when I told him what I initially thought it might be.
Dr Holmes did my left knee replacement 4 years ago. I did my rehab as ordered. I have great range of motion, no instability, no swelling, no stiffness, no pain. I highly recommend him if you are the type of patient who understands rehab is the next phase of recovery after surgery.
Dr. Holmes replaced both of my knees and wrote the order for PT, but on the second one I had no way to make a 60 mile round trip three times a week. My sister lives 30 miles away so for her to come get me and make a PT appointment would have been NINETY miles for an hour. Fortunately the case manager helped me get some home health care set up. Nevertheless, I highly recommend him to my friend and she in now caught up in a web of "we don't do that". Holmes won't authorize home health and said "he doesn't DO health care." His ... read more

Dr. Holmes is arrogant and treats patients like idoits. He doesn't listen to the patient if they have problems after surgery and his only answer seems to be yet another cortisone shot, even when told it does nothing. Furthermore, the physical therapy office sent to did nothing much beyond painful 30 minute painful massages. Went to another physical therapy office (for an unrelated condition) and observed the treatment of knee replacement treatment and it was more focused on strength building of damaged muscles, tendons, and ... read more

Dr Holmes has replaced both my knees and both my hips. The 1st in 2010 and the fast in 2019. He has also repaired both my rotator cuffs. In these 6 operations I have not had one issue or problem with any of my replacement parts. I am now 75 years old and still going strong. Positive Experience. If you want a direct honest opinion go see Dr. Holmes. He is straight to the point with what he thinks about your injury. He takes the time to answer questions, offer options, and provide top notch care. He has an on-line library of video's and literature that further explains your injury to help you make an informed decision. I had limited mobility in my shoulder with constant pain. I'm a 62 year old female and play tennis 3 times a week or so. In February of 2020, it became clear to me that if I wanted to continue having an active life, it was time for a replacement.
