CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT. This was the first time I had been there since the ownership change. I ordered the lunch special Hokie Smokie Spud with pork and a water. I left a dollar tip even though my potatoe was undercooked and hard and the pork was cold. When I checked my bank statement I was charged $19.75 for a $8.00 meal plus a $1.00 tip. great place! excellent food, staff, and prices.
since the new owner took over the food portions have got much smaller but stayed the same price. the BBQ has more fat than meat in it. They have switched to baskets and plastic silverware. understand saving money but your cutting corners on things you shouldn't. We eat here once a week sometimes 2 times a week but however that has changed. not sure we will be back. Every Time we go things get worse.
We have loved this place and were sad when it closed. We went to eat there today and we were very disappointed!! The menu was different, food was cold, have to eat on paper and use plastic forks and waiter was on cell phone the whole time. We won’t be back. Guess we will find another BBQ place in town now!

Most disgusting food! Hard gristly and fatty pork. Don’t get the BBQ potato because it will not be cooked through. Forget about talking to a manager because they will leave you sitting. Worst experience I’ve had. Not worthy of keeping the name! Will NOT be back!
