We are in this weekend visiting our son at school & we googled bbq places. This place is amazing & we will be returning each time we come back to JC to visit. It's so good, everything we tried. We had a mix of things between the 3 of us & it truly was amazing food. You absolutely must try this place, you won't regret it.
Ordered our food for pickup at 8:23PM. Was told food would be ready in 10 minutes. Arrived 30 minutes after ordering and was told we did not place an order. Showed in my cell where we ordered. Returned back to our hotel with food and the "fried potatoes" were charred. Nasty as hell! All I wanted on my trip back home was good BBQ. The sandwich was good but the potatoes and inconsiderate order taker on the phone made me post this review. Their website and google information clearly state they are open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights. I arrive at 9:40pm on a Saturday night and the doors are locked, lights turned off and they are standing behind the counter talking. Just because somewhere isn’t busy doesn’t mean you close early. I’ve been a few times before. The food is amazing! The service is good. But this has happened more than once. How can I eat at a restaurant that doesn’t stay open during the hours it states?
Was in the mood for BBQ and Googled this place........I highly recommend Hokie Smokie's. I got the 1/2 chicken and my husband got the pulled prok......both were what BBQ is supposed to be !!!!!
When I want BBQ this is my go to place. My mom and I love the pork sammy. They're always enough that we usually split and still end up taking some home for later. Highly recommend. Great food and great service
