I have been a residential propane customer of Hocon Gas for a few months now and so far no complaints. Have there been some hiccups? sure. But that is pretty common when setting up a new service and any issues have been handled quickly and professionally to my complete satisfaction. The sorts of "issues" I have had, I think, would be considered a normal part of the process of setting up a new account and are not dissimilar to what I experienced with my cell phone company, cable company, etc... I've been using Hocon for about 18 years and really haven't had much issues as our usage was not very high but looking back spent about $600 per year for usage of dryer and stove top. When it was time to get a tankless propane powered water heater, Hocon was one of the vendors I contacted. I made an appointment and they never showed up. The representative at Hocon complained why I didn't want to reschedule after they didn't show up, so I did them a favor and rescheduled. Hocon has been overcharging for months. They refuse to refund my credit and despite being promised to receive a locked in price for 1 year, they continue to over charge for delivery.
BUYER BEWARE Let me preface this review by saying I have contacted the Attorney General's office and submitted a complaint against HOCON gas and I would like to advise anyone else who feels they have been taken advantage of by this company to do the same. We moved into our new home (rental) in July 2017. Our landlord previously used HOCON as a supplier for propane. When we moved in she had forgotten to remove auto delivery. They came out and filled our tank for $3.99 a gallon in July - which was an astronomical rate at the t... read more
