Not as much character as the Pink Panther which many moons ago resided in the old 'Lanes'. Still, a pretty good selection of vinyl!

Small but packed with lots of things. Vinyl selection was much smaller than my own HMV in Norwich but I found some good finds in the sale.
One word: Gormless. The two staff working the counter seemed disengaged to say the least. I went to pay for £40 worth of music, handed the records to the cashier and… they resumed their banal chatter with each other while I stood there. In what scenario is that appropriate customer service? HMV Carlisle clearly isn’t what it once was. You used to encounter down to earth staff who knew a thing or two about music and could hold a conversation.
