As a record collector I find HMV lacking to the point I actually don't bother entering my local shop. In my experience the range (Heavy Metal records) is very limited and any item sold seems to be simply replaced with exactly the same item. I've asked about new releases and been told the shop wouldn't be stocking the item but I could buy them from HMV online. O..K......... So what is the point of the shop then? Really great shop over a couple of floors. Everything from music to film.
Always a great shop to visit, and spend too much in! My only real complaint is sometimes its difficult to find the new releases from the more niche labels (Arrow Video etc.) so end up forgetting what I was wanting to buy or missing them completely and having to order elsewhere online. The pinball machines are always a good hit with me and my son though.
