My fiancé went to the ER with major stomach pains. After a few hours to prep for CT scan we received our results about an hour after the scan. Appendectomy was needed. Admitted her to the Brennan wing of hospital same night then had surgery the following afternoon. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, from the valet drivers (in sub 20F weather), to the ER nurses (Ellen was our nurse), to the nurses in Brennan (Edwin, Sydney,Jessica) and all the doctors were fantastic. Livid would be the best way to describe how I feel! I took my daughter to Hackensack Hospital on Thursday December 21st and stayed there 3 days and they never did x-rays even after I suggested they do so, but I’m no doctor so I didn’t question their decision not to since they said her lungs sounded clear and it was just a respiratory virus, therefore aside from saline treatments and Tylenol no medications were given to her during her hospital stay nor prescribed. What ER does not have someone at the desk when there are people waiting already to go in after triage and has other people walking in some crying in pain and I asked if someone could come out and help and some nurse walking around just said “Wait!” ARE YOU SERIOUS? I just wanted to remove myself from waiting and have SOMEONE attend the people coming in. THE WORSE.
Very nice place ,even has a digital map to guide you around . doctors are very polite an take there time with you .so I decided to change my kids doctors all together to this great place .
