I went in for an emergency last night. I had a diagnosis and discharge within hours. I had gone to another hospital six months earlier for the same issue, kept for three days, starved, given unnecessary tests, and never got a definitive diagnosis. Granted it was slow due to the snow. But the staff was prompt and concerned for my comfort. Hackensack university medical is the best hospital in new jersey i had two surgeries done in hackensack university medical Center and they did awesome job with both of my surgeries. WORST HOSPITAL EVER. Years of going to hospitals with my mom and it’s never been THIS terrible ...that I even need to say anything negative. Terrible customer service, 6 hours in the ER - no room for her.. banging her bed MULTIPLE times into walls, just moving her to different spots in the hallway. (105 pound woman with stage IV colon cancer - can’t even push her without hitting every wall we pass.) Still nothing done, besides maybe a concussion had I not told them to be careful. Never ever coming here again.
My 84 year old Mom was on Brennan, 4 for 9 days recently, after suffering a stroke and the nurses/doctors could not have been nicer. Each and every one, I wish I could remember all of their names, was better than the next. (Patty, Lacey, Mathew, and Melissa, to name a few). Mom had so many issues and each one was met with the right solution. They were kind, patient and empathetic. They kept my entire family, and that’s a BIG family, in the loop on every development. I applaud this entire unit. ���
