I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for ANYONE! I've been sitting in this hospital after being admitted with pancreatitis for the last 4 days and they refuse to give me anything for the pain! Finally they give me an anti inflammatory and they tell me I can only have it every 8 hours! what a joke this place is!

Absolute worst experience of my life at HUMC. I waited on a gurney in the hallway of the ER for almost 3 days before they had a room for me. I will do everything in my lower to never return unless I’m a visitor.
RecommendedExcellent surgeon ( Dr G Klein ), good and caring Medical staff, efficient and excellent nursing care ,Clean environment , team work , friendly staff and fast response/ actions to patients concerns and continuity of care.
Went in with a really bad pain on my lower right side of my stomach was placed in the waiting area with no pain medicine just sitting there in pain then they come with my discharge papers saying I have to go to a Gastro for a follow up. They did nothing to help me with my pain they just disregarded how bad and how much pain I was in. Until this date I’m feeling horrible and it just gets worse and worse. Just awful service the interns don’t know what to do neither.
RecommendedThroughout my years living here in Waretown, my daughter, my mother, my husband and I have all been patients at SOMC. Everyone of us was treated with wonderful care and positive results. Our Cancer center, our ER, our nursing staff,cardiac therapy, TCU, you name it, is among the best. I am grateful to know that this hospital is an important asset to our community.

I always went here. My kids were born here- had all my surgeries here. It sure has changed- the staff needs some lessons!!!
