RecommendedThe decorations were amazing. Many historical items, paintings and informative items thru-out the foyer and hallways. The staff is extremely knowledgeable of the area. The free breakfast was great.
STOP AND READ!! WANNA TALK ABOUT A DUMP. NICE LOBBY AND THEN I ARRIVED AT MY 1ST ROOM. NASTY, DIRTY, AIR CONDITIONER FROM 1960 FALLING OUT OF THE WALL. FURNITURE FROM "YARD SALES?" YOU MAY THINK "THEMED ROOMS" - NOPE. ASKED FOR A DIFFERENT ROOM. SAME CRAP. CARPET SMELLS AND LEAVES YOU FEET BLACK WITH DIRT. TOILE DID NOT FLUSH. SHOWER DRAIN STOPPED UP. DINING ROOM IS DENNY'S GONE BAD. NEVER AGAIN.
Many original features still exist. you can just feel the history !

poor heat in room because there is no thermostat. The bar and restaurant are closed on Mondays but they don't tell you that and it's not on their website. Nighttime clerk took the phone off the hook so calls to desk rang busy. Breakfast was cold eggs, cold bacon, no fruit. Hotel building is beautiful. Location was great except no parking.

Didn’t get to see or hear from Rosie the ghost but this is a very nice historical hotel.
