A old but modern historical hotel. Right in downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming. A must place to visit. A example of time, the past from 1911.
staying at the plains is something we plan to make a tradition of. we are a local family but we married at the depot and we stayed at the plains for our wedding night. this year we came back to stay here on our anniversary. and we intend to continue coming back every year for our anniversary. 😁 my only complaint is that the ghosts are a little rude. that aside, the place lives up to its reputation as a haunted, but charming, historic, and wonderful place. its full of interesting artifacts, the service is wonderful, friendly... read more
Great historic place to stay but the cleaners could do with a lesson in hotel cleaning Lovely suite we got in the end Not a lot going on in Cheyenne though
Great old atmosphere. Lots of things to see and do in the immediate area.
They need to upgrade their rooms. Put in new tiles and new sinks. Beds are hard not comfy. Hallway smells like it needs to be aired out. Toilet is wobbly

Great history with an interesting ghost story
Stayed on 05/24/2019. No toilet paper, out of Kleenex, no wash cloths, no hot water in sink, lukewarm in shower and overall unclean. Asked to have basic amenities sent to room and was told we had to wait for housekeeping. Would never recommend. Very disappointed.
