Thank you Paul for the shining review. It's nice to see that there are others that love the history and downtown hotels as much as we do. I hope that you will return as a Historic Plains Hotel Guest.
July 29- August 4, 2017: • We arrived before 4 pm and attempted to check in on July 29. Our family had 3 rooms. We were told it would be $75 per room to check in early. We were told though that the rooms would be together. We came back around 8-9 pm to check in. Two rooms were on the 5th floor and one room was on the 4th floor. • My room was on the 5th floor. It was so hot in the room and the window unit air conditioner wasn’t helping. The electrical plug in by the night stand, was coming out of the wall. There was someone e... read more
First of all, it just felt creepy. Hard to explain but it did. The room did not look like what was in the pictures. Much more "Southwest" motif with zero elegance. Lighting was almost nonexistent in the room to further the creepiness. The one small window was also frosted over. We were tired from extensive travel so were thankful for a clean bed, but at 7 AM a fire alarm went off. We started grabbing our clothes but when we got into the hall no one seemed in much of a hurry so I called the front desk and the receptionist laz... read more

Thank you for the 5 star review. We appreciate it.
Went here to enjoy the "New Salad Bar" that included unlimited soup and salad bar.... First off, its not a "Salad Bar". Its a huge bowl with wilted spring greens and a massive amount of carrots mixed in, maybe an entire cucumber sliced throughout the bowl and I saw one cherry tomato. Second, the "house" dressing I was made to assume it was Ranch (since there wan't any Ranch as an option), boy was I wrong... It was a mixture of maybe a creamy Italian and a massive amount of vinegar. Third, I tried 3 different soups of the 6 o... read more

Thank you for your review. We have amped up the salad bar and hope to have you return to see the great changes.
If you're visiting Cheyenne and want to experience a historic hotel this is an excellent choice in Cheyenne. Some of the 1* reviews point out valid issues but there are large rooms with sitting areas and the price was fair. The parking instructions could be more clear. The restaurant is great for a complimentary breakfast. I would say the A/C and the elevator are areas in need of their capital attention. All in all a friendly and nice choice in my opinion.

Thank you Mark for the wonderful comments. We know as a 115 year old hotel that we have some issues but try to make our guest experience so great that the other things don't seem as big. Thank you for being a valued client.
Business response:
:) Thank you.
I was really good for a hotel for being 105 years old
Business response:
Thank you for the 5 stars. We hope to have you back soon.
We stayed one night. The hotel is beautiful with a lot of history. Our room was small but not problem for us. The parking is down the street and didn't feel real sale so we parked on the 2hr street parking which is allowed all night starting after 5pm until 10AM. Breakfast was good! The elevator was very slow but we took the stairs no problem. The hotel is right in the middle of everything!
Business response:
Thank you Lisa for the review. We strive to make our clients stay comfortable and wanting to come back. With comments like this it tells us what we are doing good and where we need to improve. We hope you come back and stay with us soon.
