Terrible receptionist. We are managing a new diagnosis and the medication ran out before our next hospital appointment. After speaking to our GP they referred us to this surgery as it had an emergency diabetics nurse who would be able to assist. Immediately travelling to see someone we get turned down and told there is no appointment available and the next booking is more than 3 weeks away. If I could guve 0 stars I'll be glad to! Was referred by GP said that the Diabetes nurse here would be glad to see me under an emergency. As being diabetic I had ran out of insulin and needed urgent care/advice from the diabetes nurse. Only to be told by the receptionist they were fully booked and there was nothing they can do. As I got home read my notes from the nurse that I didn't show up when in fact i did! I could of had another DKA which is life threatening to diabetic people!!
Hardly get a doctor appointments in here. Have to spend lots of time dealing with doctors from other places and just went in to print some documents. Funny yeah my own GP.
I don't like leaving a negative review, but this was very frustrating. I went in and booked an appointment with a travel nurse. Told them where I was going and when, all apparently fine. When I went to the appointment the nurse told me they'd booked me for the wrong kind of appointment and I needed to rebook. I went back to reception, and made another appointment for a couple of weeks later. My travel vaccination appointment was rearranged due to misunderstanding (that we needed a 30min not 10min appointment) and then cancelled without any opportunity to rebook until after we depart on our trip. Being redirected to the local pharmacy because we cannot access NHS vaccinations will involve enormous financial cost. - Asha Bourne
