Broomstick Fries – Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Fries are my all time favorite food and next to homemade, these are the best.
Great Stuff – The food is outstanding and the service is above average. The only con to this chain is the usual long waits for a table.
Blah! – We went to the Houston's Restaurant located down Westheimer, outside BW8. Besides being overpriced, the chicken was dry, my club sandwich had the most nauseating cheese on it along with a horrid portion of 'skillet beans.' I can't believe this place was full of people.
fries' fries – the fries at Houston's are fab-o. skinny and crunchy, perfect salting makes it go great with the honey mustard dressing
Food quality has gone down the drain! – Food quality has degraded tremendoulsy within the past 6 months. I remember going about twice a week for lunch mostly getting the Hawaiian ribeye/steak. Was quite amazingly some of the best steak, but now, the serving size is bout 2/3 or 1/2 of what it was. In addition to that, the steak is poorly poorly marinated is chopped full of FAT. I know how theyve tasted before and today's steak is quite dreadfully awful in comparison.
Great Fries and more – Houston's has always prepared good, quality food on a consistent basis. But I have noticed that the portions continue to get smaller while the prices continue to rise.

The food isn't worth the Hassle! – My wife had one request after her surgery, Houstons. I looked up the number on the internet only to find out that you can't call ahead orders to go. That's fine, I'll just pop over before the crowd and get two salads to go. Like always, the traffic on Kirby is horrible and it took longer than expected. I arrived at 4:45PM on a Thursday and tried to get an order to go. The said that they didn't do to go orders anymore due to the volume of traffic in the restaurant.
