The Hillside Restaurant was started in 1955, making it the most well established restaurant in Northern Illinois. When it began it was a small counter style chicken house, created in a charming building that had been a shoe store and a doughnut shop. How can I even express how much I love this restaurant and the family that runs it? I love that I have a dish that Gavin named after me because of how much I love it and rant on Facebook about it!! If you haven't tried the "Heather's Lemon Moroccan Chicken" you are missing out!!! It's amazing and a great meal for those of us who insist on a healthy option!!
