My experience of a shared owner through Hightown: -- Buying the property -- Everything was rushed by Hightown, with no consideration to the purchaser. Property had 100+ defects which they refused to delay completion on (wouldn't have received any rental payments until we moved in). Had to get these done in dribs and drabs whilst living in the property. Worth noting they charge above the market value rent which they are allegedly allowed to do, given that they did not use funding from Homes England. -- Living in the property ... read more
Level of service has gone down tremendously. Used to get proper communications and updates. Now, you get nothing. Slow to respond and act, constantly chasing for responses. I’m constantly arguing with people using my allocated car space (that I pay for). Deliveries and parcels constantly being stolen and hightown literally shrug their shoulders and say that they can’t do anything. Heating not working, have yet to acknowledge never mind send someone out. Communal areas are a state!
Terrible company, apparently according to them it's affordable housing how can you call nearly £300 a week affordable it's cheaper to go private, and on top of that it takes them ages to get anything done or even get it done if you have a problem with drugs in the area which is what we do they expect you to jump through hoops to do anything about it, I wish I read these reviews before moving in with hightown the sooner I move out the better
GET ME OUT OF HERE! I HAVE RATS LIVING IN MY BEDROOM WALLS!! HIGHTOWN DOING THE ABSOLUTE BEAR MINIMUM & THINK ITS ACCEPTABLE FOR A FAMILY TO LIVE IN A FLAT WITH ALIVE & DEAD DECAYING RATS IN THE WALL! IVE HAD ENOUGH!
