If your trying to die than go right ahead and go here. But if your wanting to live than please go somewhere else. Chattanooga or Huntsville are way better, hell a local clinic is better than Highlands medical. Plus if you have to wait for a ride home or something they charge you $150 for ever 30 mins your there waiting.
Have had surgery 2 times in 2 months plus my daughter had surgury as well last week! 2nd floor has amazing nurses! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Friendly, caring and kind staff, Best Hospital I've Been To, I live in DeKalb County but My Trust is with Jackson County's Highlands Medical Center!!!!!

I have been to Highlands Medical Center several times in the past and have always had the best possible care available. Four days ago I had surgery with Dr. Megehee, I am doing great at home now! My stay at the hospital was a pleasure !!! I have never found more caring staff anywhere. I would certainly tell anyone........"If you have to be hospitalized.....stay at Highlands for the best of everything ."
Highlands is a joke I came in with my appendix ruptured and laid in a room for 3 hours and was never check my a nurse or anybody when I left and went to fortpayne I was taken back for emergency surgery highlands will let you lay there and die
They were very nice my husband and made sure he had what he needed.
