Horrible company I been a customer for a couple of months apparently they charged my card 5,000 dollars I thought I brought a new car. Very bad company will no longer be a customer. Charges keep rolling in see you in court Hertz. ***** *****

I prepaid for a rental in North Dakota and had maintenance issues with the vehicle causing it to be a little late on the return time of the day it was due back. Nobody answered the phone the entire day and upon dropping off the vehicle there was nobody there to tell them about the situation (during normal business hours). Two days later I was charged more than what my prepaid amount was and they refuse to refund that amount. I will be hiring an attorney to handle this situation. I'd rather walk than do business with Hertz again. I returned my car to the rental return parking garage at the Asheville airport. Parked in the designated spot for Hertz rental returns. Left the car and caught my flight. No one was manning the Hertz kiosk for rental returns even though it 3pm. My car was subsequently stolen from the rental car return garage and found a week later in the woods damaged. Hertz charged my $13,000 for a car I returned where they told me to return!! I have had a horrible experience dealing with Hertz they don't even refund you your money they tell you is 7 to 10 business days I've called back and it's still not refunded the lady apparently never process my refund when I call they hang up on me they're just a horrible they don't even expedite your payment due to someone's other mistakes not your own I am baffled on the customer service I have to wait 24 hours to speak to a supervisor who is on duty and who is because he is dealing with other customers they won't even pla... read more

Me and my Wife made a reservation on September 21 to pick up a rental on October 21 because we came to Georgia to get married and have our family and friends be their for us. They call us the morning of to go pick it up and canceled on us. Me and her are both active duty military and had to be back the next day to sign back in on leave. We spoke to several representatives and nobody was a help at all even after telling them our situation. Hertz is absolutely terrible and we will never be doing business with them again.

I was lied to twice by a Hertz representative recently at the Atlanta airport. I had reserved a compact car and was told I would be getting a Smart Car. She said she would upgrade me to a midsize for $10.00. I told her that I did not want a Smart Car so I agreed to the upgrade of $10.00. She left out the fact that the upgrade was $10.00 per day. Stay away....buyer beware. I had a rental from Las Vegas to Phoenix for 6 days. They called me the day before pick up and said they had no cars for my reservation a my pick up sight, They have no phone capability unless you want to pay a 5% upcharge on your rental. They do not want to talk to anyone!! So they came back and said they had a car at another pick up site, but the price was DOUBLE from my original quote. This is legalized extortion. ZERO stars is what I would give hertz if i could. Absolutely the worst service i have ever received from any business or company in my entire life. In an attempt to keep this on the shorter side I will try and get to the point. I rented a car in Chicago from hertz for less than 24 hours. They didn't have the car I booked so I settled for what they offered. On the way back to the airport at 1:30 in the morning I stop to get gas and the car stalls. Will NOT start.
