If I could give lower than one star I would!! I paid for a rental for 2 days, and my return time is prior to the 2 day time!! I called to correct it and the 1-800 # says to correct it online. When I go to correct it online it won't work. Then I call back and it says that i have to pay 5% to speak to customer service? What the **** kind of company is this? This is PATHETIC and I am DISGUSTED & will never use Hertz or recommend them again. What a joke.

Dear Hertz, On the dates of September 18, 2021, through September 21, 2021, I rented a truck from the Hertz on 2544 North Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Unfortunately, your truck and the service I was provided was woefully inadequate. I am disappointed because the truck was not only filthy (inside and out); but I was also told by your rental agent that the truck was too big to be properly cleaned. I paid in full for rental car on 10/1/21. The pick up date was 10/21/21 but on the day of pickup, I was told the location had no vehicles to rent, no other options were provided, bottom line no vehicle at all, period. I was told to call Priceline to get my refund, yet Priceline did not deduct the charges, so I had to called Hertz customer service, I called on same day that evening. This company and location was by far the worst rental car experience I have ever had. If I could give a lower star review, I would! The manager was so rude to us! She had to leave for an appointment and would not give us our vehicle that was already reserved and paid for! Would not recommend!!

$100 CANCELLATION FEE. BE WARNED!!! You likely won't find it when booking or after, as I went through the information backward and forward before booking, and saw NO mention of a cancellation fee, or wouldn't have booked (did this through Alaska Airlines website, which has in two places NO cancellation fees when booking). Called Alaska Airlines to intervene, as like everyone else in these reviews Hertz customer service has NO authority to make any monetary corrections. This company does not care about its customers. It appears that the employees are so concerned about competing with each other they forget about the customer. The worst car rental company.

hertz rental car this is not about a particular agency but hertz rental in general. We rented 2 hertz cars during our vacation in switzerland. Our travel agent had requested a mercedes class A or similar , fitting 2 large suitcases in a trunk un exposed. In Zurich we were given a volvo SUV and the second rental was in Lugano , where a tiny mini Morris was awaiting us ...how is that the same class as a large mercedes? Scammers and unprofessional! I rented a car through Booking.com from Hertz. It was a 1 way rental. I returned the car the night before the return date at the location specified by Booking.com. Two days later Hertz sent an email asking where the car was. I sent pics of the location. Long story short, they charged me for a late return AFTER they acknowledged that the return location was wrong on Booking.com. I will never do business with them ever again.

Have rented a car. I had a simple question: Do I check in at counter in terminal or go to counter in the garage. I called the PDX Hertz airport number. Got lost in a Byzantine phone tree, eventually the recorded voice told me that if I wanted to speak to an agent, it would increase my rental cost by 5 percent. Arrogant. Poor customer service. Will take my business elsewhere in the future
